    Default Gangstas at WaWa

Just a funny encounter I'll share.

I was out yesterday enjoying the pleasant change in the weather and stopped at a wawa in the poconos. As soon as I pulled in I saw a small group of young white men with hats in various states of tilt and direction. They eyed me up pretty good as I parked. I just gave a mental sigh, this will be interesting.

    Sure was!

I grabbed a drink and was perusing the little debbies with a friend when one of the guys idled over in front of me while messing with his phone. He glanced up at me then back down at his phone.

Him: yo, is that a Glock?
    Me: yeah it's a Glock.
Him: Is it a nine or a fawty?
    Me: neither, it's a .45
    Him: Sweet dude. Sweet...

Wanders outside and talks with his boys. They don't look at me through the glass until I get back outside then I get the eye again until I pull out.

We were driving away and I was wondering why he said 9 or 40... They DO come in other calibers. I enjoyed it to be honest. I grinned off and on all the way home.

Their parents brought them from NY/NJ to escape their problems, but then forgot to leave their problems behind.

Yuppers and then you have the parents that moved up here, leave at 5 am to work in NYC and don't get home until 8 at night. Or even better the parents that actually live in NY during the week while their kids fend for themselves all week long (true stuff, we have a friend that teaches at PM and he sees it all the time)

Thumbs up Re: Gangstas at WaWa

The poconos ain't what it used to be. I had to chase a couple of crooked hats off family property. not long ago. They cut a barbed wire fence so they could ride a quad in the pasture, despite being told on numerous occasions that they didn't have pemission. I actually chased them down and surprised them a bit in my F250. They showed me what turned out to be a loaded BB gun 1911 clone inside the waistband, and they both loaded their pants when I showed them my Super Redhawk. They haven't been back on the property now in two years.

Also, My Uncle is a brown package truck driver up there, getting closer to retirement. He never had an issue but I suspect something happened, cuz he now carries. He never "felt the need to carry before".
