Glock 32 conversion questions
Guys,
Have been reading the archived posts on converting glocks from 40 to 357 to 9mm etc... But it seems the posts always got into a heated debate over which caliber was better or worse etc....
I dont want a caliber war here, just some help understanding the conversions and staying absolutely safe.
So, I have a Glock 32 and was lucky enough to have a windfall of 40 sw ammo given to me. SO, is it true that i can just buy a GLock 23 barrel and start shooting the 40 ammo up? Mags are the same?
Now to switch to 9mm i would need a 19 barrel and new mags? Is this still safe to shoot?
If the above is true, where do i buy GLock factory barrels at? If not GLock barrels, what brand is next best to buy?
Thanks for any help guys.Last edited by PAfarmboy; October 21st, 2009 at 11:20 PM. Reason: replaced 22 with 23

Re: Glock 32 conversion questions
not sure about 32 -> 23...
but i have a 23, and bought a 32 barrel (from glock, iirc) and that was all i needed.
although, i'd recommend buying a barrel from lone wolf, instead.

i have a multi caliber setup for my g23 and g22 and they shoot like a dream. very reliable and accurate. i just need to get a .22lr kit and I'm covered.

Re: Glock 32 conversion questions
to go from .357 or 40 to 9mm you'll need a conversion barrel.
to shoot 40 out of your .357 you'll only need a 40 bbl. I'd go with a lone wolf. they are good quality and very popular plus they are cheaper than OEM Glock barrels.
you can use your current .357 mags to shoot 40 no problem. but to shoot 9mm you will need mags for a G19 or G17

^^^What he said^^^
Two of my spare mags for my G32 are .40 cal mags. They work just fine. Infact I can fit an extra 357 Sig round into the .40 cal mags. (15rd .40 mags = 16 rd of 357) I am not sure why that is because they are supposed to be the same size casing... I bought them new from Cabellas and they are Glock mags...When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

Re: Glock 32 conversion questions
Number 16 doesn't feel any different than 1-15 going in. The first time I noticed it, I fired at 15 steel targets, hit all 15 and my slide didn't lock to the rear. When I cleared the pistol, a round ejected. Both of my 15 round .40 cal mags are like this. None of my 13 rounders will accept 14, hell most of them don't like taking 13.
