CETME, How are they?

haven't been into them all that long but as of lately i've been kind of drawn to them esp. with the OD furniture. How are they on the accuracy and functionality level? I've been told they are compairable to the ak function wise and the m14 for accuracy.

This is very true. So long as your Cetme is running properly. There are more things other than head-space, and ground/unground bolts that are factory problems due to Century's lack of quality control that can go wrong with these rifles.

I had one that I loved and would endorse it whole-heartedly. It ran 100% for me and even though I am not a very good shot, i could hit a soccer ball sized target at 100 yards 98 out of 100 times with opne, iron sights. Thats combat accurate enought for me. It had good headspacing and an unground bolt, made sure of it before buying. I only moved on because 7.62NATO is expensive and the AK served my purposes as well.

if you want an HK clone for the price of an M4, go to CDNN's website and download their catalog. they are selling "F" models for around $1100. just be warned, they are now known to be ammo finicky due to PTR messing around with fluting specs. expect to shoot wolf or American Eagle (i have experience with AmEagle in mine, not Wolf). HK/PTR limitations are crappy ergonomics and weird sights. easy to scope with an MFI mount

AIM has DSA Fal's for around $1100 every few months, which is a top-quality build. FAL limitations are that the shots tend to string after a few rounds when the barrel gets hot. easy to scope with a bolt-on top cover.

what you really need is an M1A, but you can always get a Garand...
