Well it is a contact sport, but that was just a little outside the rulebook.

Garbage cheap shot. Should be a one game suspension at least since a lesser transgression last year was given a game.

Re: Crazy hit in Bucs/Panthers Game
I saw that...freakin' nasty. If you watch it in slow motion, the only thing the guy didn't do was lead with the helmet.
I hope he gets slapped down pretty well. I saw in a news report that the guy was hoping he wouldn't get a fine. Dude, really?
There used to be a football series on HBO in the late 80s...I can't recall the name. There was a hit just like this. It was the first thing I thought about when I saw it.Nine out of ten moderators approve of this post!

Re: Crazy hit in Bucs/Panthers Game
Thats the dirtiest kind of pussy shit. I can garuntee you that scrub has never hit a guy that hard legally. If I was on the Bucs team I would have pulled his eyeballs out through his facemask. Thats how people get really hurt. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE hard hits. In fact, when Ray Lewis seperated OchoCinco from his helmet and they called a penalty for "hitting a defensless reciever: I thought that was bullshit. No reciever is defenseless. "Running into the kicker" is bullshit too, they are players just like everyone else that puts on a helmet. If they want to whine and get hurt, go play soccer. The player has the right to try to time the hit perfectly but, if he fails, he should accept the consequences of suspension, fines, and physical retribution like a man. Here is the Ray Lewis hit just for good measure!!

^^^ Defensleless?!?!? Ocho saw him coming and alligator-armed it like the sissy he is so he didn't get killed!! That penalty cost them the game too.Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Amen. **PROUD III**

The scum bag should be kicked out of the league. The only intention was to hurt someone. And yes the NFL is ridiculous with things like protecting the quarterback. This is just over the top.

No signal for fair catch? If the ball arrived a second before the hit you guys would say 'killer hit!'.
I've done worse when I played high school football. Get over it you candy asses.
