Our first dog
My wife wanted to get a pet. She likes cats, and I loathe them. We settled on a dog, and I've always wanted a husky.
So here's our 4 month old Siberian, Katya:
A happy dog:
And a slightly demonic view, thanks to the redeye:

Re: Our first dog
Great pics! Congrats!
Take lots of photos, they grow FAST!
Enjoy your new friend. Treat her well and she'll treat you well.
If interested, and you're anywhere near Monroeville, I can recommend a very good obedience instructor (former K-9 trainer) who holds small classes.
Just my opinion, but stay away from the PetSmart/Petco type classes.
You can certainly train a dog without a professional... many of my neighbors have dogs they proudly "trained" themselves, but none of them can walk the neighborhood with their dog's leash simply draped over their shoulder like I can. Heel. GOOD BOY!
I LOVE my dog!
Sorry if I came off as "preachy" Guess it's that old age thing creepin' in! Always trying to give advise so others can learn from your mistakes! LOL!
Beautiful dog!!!I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Our first dog
Congratulations, shes a real cutie. I've always wanted a Husky myself but my wife is mad about Airedales so we're on our second now. Maybe next time around Dad will get to have input on the breed instead of just the breeder.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”

Re: Our first dog
That's a really cute puppy. She looks so happy. Daily beatings work wonders. (Just kidding....)
Congrats on the new addition to the family. It's up to you to make her life as good as possible. Take care of her and enjoy her unconditional love."Ya only need legs to kick ass baby boy" - Bartender in Feast III

Good looking dog. A neighbor of mine had one with a brown eye and a blue eye.
