It's soup weather!
What to make on a cold and wet nasty day??
A big ole pot of potato and kielbasa soup served with buttered rye bread.
Protected by a pair of vintage Mauser family heirlooms - a model 1910 (.25) and a model 1914 (.32)
Both guns where made sometime around 1917 / 1918 and are in excellent condition and working order.

Got a recipe? It sort of looks like a potato soup with kielbasa in it.

Re: It's soup weather!
It's very easy to make.
You'll need:
5 lbs of potatoes
2 medium size onions (I like sweet onions)
2 lbs Kielbasa (or you can use bacon)
one bunch of curly parsley
one stick of butter
about 2 cups of milk
salt and pepper to taste
Peel and then cut the potatoes into small chunks - about 1 to 2 inch squares and put them in an empty soup pot.
Dice the onions and add them to the pot.
Cover the potatoes and onions with water - just enough so they start to float.
Mince the parsley and add to the pot.
Bring the water to a rapid boil for about 20 to 30 minutes. Make sure you stir the pot every 5 to 10 minutes to keep from burning the potatoes on the bottom of the pot.
Lower the temperature to a simmer. You won't have to stir the pot as often. Simmer until the potatoes start to break down. Squash the potatoes against the side of the pot. A soup ladle works well. You can make the soup as smooth or chunky as you like.
Add the stick of butter, milk, salt, pepper, and kielbasa or bacon (make sure you cook the bacon first ) when you are finished squashing the potatoes.
Let the soup simmer for about 20 minutes after adding the last ingredients and you are good to go.
You can serve it with melted shredded cheddar cheese and bacon on top.
