Re: BERETTA Tomcat
Assemble/disassemble in a big clear plastic bag.. If something goes BOING, it will be in the bag.

Re: BERETTA Tomcat
I think you would have to call Beretta USA for replacements. They should be able to help, it is almost impossible not to lose those parts if you take off the grips. When I took off my grips I held onto them. But to put the grips on you have to have the spring and plunger in the gun and hold them down with a small flathead screwdriver or small punch to get the grips on over them. On my first attempt the screwdriver slipped and the parts went flying, I was lucky and found them. On my second attempt I did manage to hold them in while I slid the grips back on. I don't think I will ever be taking off the grips again. That plunger is tiny, don't know how I ever found it. Best of luck.

Re: BERETTA Tomcat
I just did the same thing.
I bought wooden grips to replace the stock black plastic ones.
"How hard can it be?" I thought as the little .32 laughed.
I can order the parts cheap enough from Brownell's, but I'm not sure how they fit.
Can anyone recommend someone in Pittsburgh that could help?
Thanks in advance,
Matt F

Re: BERETTA Tomcat
I have the Tomcat safety parts. A couple months ago I had 3 come in for the same thing in a matter of a few days. After that I started to stock them.

Re: BERETTA Tomcat
Did the same thing a few years back with mine. Called Beretta customer service and the guy there sent me out the springs for free. Forget his name but he was extremely helpful. Think he was originally from the Pgh area so it may have just been him being nice to hometown folk. Seriously, at the time at least, it made me appreciate Beretta's customer service.

Re: BERETTA Tomcat
Never disassemble a Beretta Bobcat or Tomcat, hell to get back together and NEVER disaassemble the the hammer/mainspring special factory tools are needed to puyt it back together- dont ask me how i know.
I see you found out about the grip holding the safety mechanism in place, also check to see if you also lost the little miniature ball bearing for the safety detent.
Like the poster above said , if you are going to disassemble do it in a big plastic bag so you dont loose anything.
