    Default Purchasing a gun online

What are the general steps to purchasing a gun online, like from gunbroker or something like that? I realize that some stuff would have to be transferred to an FFL holder first.

If it is from out of state, FFL.

Long guns in state, can be F-T-F.

    In state handgun, FFL.

effectively, you pay the seller, and send them a copy of the FFL (or FFL # for EZ check) and they ship to your dealer.
then you go to your dealer, and do the standard buying process.

if its a handgun or rifle coming from ANYONE across state lines, it has to be shipped to a FFL in the buyers state.

if its a RIFLE, you MIGHT be able to go to the sellers home state and purchase via a FFL.

no cross state lines face to face sales without involving a FFL, ever... thats a felony.

your first sentence is basically what I was looking for. thanks. I wasn't sure if you paid the seller then gave them the FFL or if the FFL bought it and then you paid them.
