Whats the weather like in NEPA during rifle deer season?

I'm assuming if we head out around 4-4:30 to get to our spot by sun up it's probably going to be REAL cold. I just looked out at the thermometer a few minutes ago and it's below 30 right now. The second week into october.

My hunting partner is telling me I'm crazy and saying it probably won't get below 30, at 4am on nov 30th. I think he's the one who is crazy.

What are some realistic weather conditions for that time of year?

Throw the dice. It could be anything. Snow, rain, ice, sunny, bitter cold.

PA Weather is a crap shoot. I remember first days where it was 50 degrees and windy. I also remember ones where the high was like 10.

Just make sure you have a good variety of clothing for any situation and then prepare a few days before the opener.

for a normal year the opening day of rifle (And all of rifle season) is pretty much what we had yesterday...

Just be prepared for anything from zero to fifty degrees. I've had sun, snow and rain all on the same day...

This morning I had snow on my deck and it looks like an ugly season ahead if this continues.

Plan on cold. High 20 going out- low 40's afternoon if the suns out.
BTW I base this on nothing. But like they said, I've hunted in everything but an hurrcaine in PA. Start hawking the weather about T day and pack out as forcast +/-20deg.

I know some of these questions might be a little ridiculous but I'm damned excited to go hunting this year for my first time.

I like to do a lot of research on anything I'm getting into, be it important or trivial information.
