Another option is the gun it closely copies. The beretta 21 bobcat.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

Not interested in selling, but have one. Nice gun. My Mother stole it from me, she loves it, as she does not have the hand strength to work a slide.
I always see them at every show I go to.

My mom picked one up a few months ago, she also couldn't work the slide on most guns, and didn't want a revolver. But she absolutely loves it. I've shot it a few times with her and it's surprisingly accurate. I didn't take it out much beyond 10 yards, but every shot hit within the first 4 rings of the target.

It easy to work, just pop the barrel up and insert the bullet, load the magazine, insert it, flip the barrel down, undo the safety and you're good to go.

Have only had one problem and that was with cheap ammo. The bullet didn't go off. Never a FTF or FTE. Which is amazing, because trying to pull the slide back by hand is darn near impossible. I have yet to find any ammo that it didn't eat right through, so there's another plus. 8 rounds in the mag plus the one in the chamber make for some good target shooting, or personal defense. (I know it's a .22, but if it's what she's comfortable with, it's better than nothing.)

The only down side that I've found is that the trigger pull is amazingly long. I can't use the crease in my forefinger like I'm used to doing, I have to use right at my fingerprint area in order to pull the trigger all the way. At first it felt gritty, but that's work itself out, it's still a heavy DA, but very doable. I also wish that it could be used in SA, but the bobbed hammer doesn't allow for it. But give it a shot, it's a fun little gun, women normally enjoy it, and the guys do too. Sorry this was so lengthy!! Hope it helps though.
