help finding a new cylinder for my revolver
hey guys I've exhausted my google skills so I'm comming to you guys for some help. I have a smith and wesson model 48-3 22mag(pretty sure it's a 3 but I don't have the gun next to me) and I would like to see if i could get a 22lr cylinder for it. I know that it came as an option from smith, but I can't find anyone selling them either factory or custom/aftermarket.
Does anyone have any ideas or know of any places that could get me a another cylinder for my gun? I'm hesitant to call smith and wesson because I'm 99.9% sure that they are going to tell me that the gun has been discontinued and no parts are available (this has happened to me before with an model 19 i had a while back).

Re: help finding a new cylinder for my revolver
You should not rule out a possibility without exploring it first. I would indeed contact Smith and Wesson and find out if you can get one from them.
You may also have to contact other parts sellers directly to find what you ware looking for. A phone call may be the fastest and surest way to find what you seek. The 48 was not a very popular model, so it may not be listed on websites. Here are a few places to contact:
