I recommend less fiber! It'll help your waist as well...

The different belt manufacturers measure belts differently. Go to whatever place you're going to order the belt from, then take your regular belt, and measure it the way the website says.

    The Beltman is typical:

Ordering the belt by the middle hole allows room for IWB.

some belts don't have holes, so you don't need a specific size, just a range.

i use a bianchi accumold that is like this. it is a wonderful belt.

there are other belts like this as well.

Get a 5.11 Tactical Operator belt.

Its a high strength nylon web belt with an insert sandwiched in between the two nylon layers for rigitity. The belt is actually designed for use with holsters. The insert helps keep your holster firmly in place and it doesnt allow it to move at all when your belt is tightened. There are no holes, so you can adjust it to the exact tightness you need. Its only $40 at most places and it is the best belt you can buy for carrying, if you ask me. I made a thread yesterday about mine its so good.

Many swat team members and cops use the 5.11 Tactical Operator belt, and thats actually how i got turned on to them. A cop friend of mine has been using one for a long while now and he suggested it.

    Check it out here:

Screw the Beltman stuff, those belts are nice and work well, but they are way overpriced for what they are. For $40 you can get the 5.11 Tactical Operator belt and it'll blow the Beltman belts away, plus you can use all that extra money you saved, on some ammo.

What the Beltman is -- is a huge piece of leather. One could argue that the 5.11 belt is over-priced for what IT is -- a piece of plastic.

Both will hold up a gun and gear. Not everyone feels at home wearing a holster on a seat belt around town.

the 5.11 Tactical Operator belt and it'll blow the Beltman belts away,
From your other thread, you said your previous belt was some crummy Walmart thing, not a Beltman belt, or indeed any other kind of double thickness leather gun belt.

On what basis are you making this claim?

    First...you have a 38" waist, not waste.
As far as size, so to www.thebeltman.net. There's a link to sizing a belt which will provide all the info you need.
I strongly recommend the Beltman. He sells high quality belts for carrying. A standard belt may work for IWB, but you need a gun belt for OWB.
Well, pushed 60 too hard so now I am the big SIX-OH. Now I can be a real pain in the ass! And, who says growin' old isn't fun!!
