Default Question on Sending Suppressed Pistol for repair

My question is, can I send my Ruger 22/45 with a fixed supressor in for repair.
The suppressor does dettach from the pistol with a screw, but I don't know if I can send just the pistol sepperate from the suppressor.
I need to have the pistol fixed, It is having a lot of cycling issues.

Or do I need to fine a gun shop I can drive to that can repair it for me?

Any helpful input would be great.

Sending it back to Ruger or out to a smith?
Ruger my not help due to the suppressor
Is the suppressor causing the issue?

Which ever you choose, im pretty sure you will need to give them a copy of your Form 4.
You may want to find a local C3/SOT dealer in your area.

Now my question since this falls in the same idea.
Can a standard run of the mill gun smith work on an integrally suppresed weapon, or any other NFA item w/o their C3/SOT license?

    sorry, i really didnt help

Any FFL can take in a Suppressed/suppressor/machinegun for repair. As long as they have a copy of the current form and it's logged into their repair A&D book.
Wouldn't you like to know what's in my safe.

^^^ This is the correct answer. There is no requirement for the paperwork, other than the logging by the FFL, but the ATF *suggests* that a copy of the forms1/4/etc accompany the firearm. Most FFL's will require it. You can also do a form-5 transfer but again, it's not legally required but some FFL's may require it.
