Problems with a Sig P2022
Just acquired a Sig pro and shot it at the range for the first time yesterday. It fired great except when it ejected the round it was ejecting them straight back at the shooter... Anyone else have this problem with a Sig?

Re: Problems with a Sig P2022
Never had the issue with my Sig Pro. I have put over a 1000 rounds through mine and the brass always gets thrown out to the right.

I'll probably take it to get it checked then, mines coming straight back...

Did you try more than one type of ammo?

Re: Problems with a Sig P2022
Some report this issue with the SigPro and newer P226's, etc when using slightly underpowered 9mm ammo. Most report it goes away after several hundred rounds, or try some hotter ammo and see how things go.

Re: Problems with a Sig P2022
Unfortunately I only had one type on me. I'm shooting it again this Saturday and I'll try a different type of ammo. Any suggestions?

Re: Problems with a Sig P2022
These days I only run Winchester white box and Federal American Eagle for target practice as they are the ones I can easily find locally. I've had excellent results with these brands in all my 9mm pistols. I also run a mag or two of +p+ hydrashok during the break in period on all my weapons as that's the round I carry.

Re: Problems with a Sig P2022
I had a similar problem with a Beretta Tomcat at times. It would grab the shell on both sides and every so often it would hit me in the head. Never threw the shell the same direction.
My Sigs always throw consistent to the right. Winchester, Federal and Remington.I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.[
