    Default Got a Mosin M44!

I finally found a nice M44 over the weekend! Picked it up from another PAFOA Member in the Lancaster area. It's an Russian Izzy 1948 with a good bore, no counterbore and decent wood. Here are a few quick pics...you'll see better photos in my 2010 calendar!

    Great wood!

And that muzzle crown? I've never seen such sharp rifling at the muzzle on a MN. Bet that shoots great!

Looks sharp. I've been getting an itch to buy a rifle and seeing pics of them just keep pushing me to empty my wallet.

She is nice! I thought it looked decent in the sellers photos, but it was even nicer than I expected when we met!

Standard M44...the most notable thing is that it is stamped 1948...not rare or highly collectible or anything, but there were significantly less made in 1948 than the other years. 1943 is probably the most collectible! (Considering they ran from 1944 to 1948!)
