Duracoat with a twist...

Hey all, just picked up a black on black xd-sc. I'm gonna duracoat the frame but wanted to get your opinions on something...

I plan on spraying a light coat over the frame, then sprinkling some fine silica sand (blasting media) over the parts I would like to have more of a grip on. I'll let that cure for awhile then spray my finish coat. Anybody forsee any problems here. I'll be sure to keep the silica off the areas that contact my holster...other then that I can't think of anything...

I use scraps of antislip stair tread material. Similar to sandpaper but 1000x better.

I put strips of skate board tape on my Beretta.

Tapes a good idea...I'm trying to change the color so I'll try it out and see how it goes...
