OC of grenades? I guess technically its legal, but I'm not surprised it caused a panic. What you guys think?
Think the charges will stick?

Re: OC of grenades
I'm ALL for the 2nd Amendment, but it should NOT be legal to walk around with grenades.
That's just stupid, and whether they were inert, I would sure hope the charges stick.
Area-of-effect weapons have little to absolutely NO use in civilian self-defense.
Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.==============

Re: OC of grenades
Did he have a LTCF on his person? LOL
Seriously, this is like carrying an empty gun around, STUPID.
I don't think this is gonna be covered by the State or US Constitutions.

Re: OC of grenades
Well, Last Halloween, I dug out my old LBE, some practice (inert) Grenades, a paintball marker, and a key chain strobe light (taped in the barrel of said marker) and went as Alien hunter (yes I also had a RIA 1911a1 on my hip as well, since CC wasn't practical in that costume. Now, since I had weapons of area destruction, should I have been harassed and arrested as insinuated by Lor? I think we really need to look at the whole of the situation to say something was in bad taste, stupid, appropriate, or done to incite panic, then based on that, make the decision, and not make new laws just because we don't like it, or feel somethign to be stupid.

Re: OC of grenades
I understand how this can be a slippery slope. I'm not proposing new laws, but there is a difference between walking around dressed as an "Alien Hunter" on Halloween, vs going down to the movie theater on any given night wearing normal clothes and what look like grenades.

Re: OC of grenades
§ 2706. Terroristic threats.
(a) Offense defined.--A person commits the crime of
terroristic threats if the person communicates, either directly
or indirectly, a threat to:
(1) commit any crime of violence with intent to
terrorize another;
(2) cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly or
facility of public transportation; or
(3) otherwise cause serious public inconvenience, or
cause terror or serious public inconvenience with reckless
disregard of the risk of causing such terror or
inconvenience.
I'd say sections (a)(2) and (a)(3) would apply. Buildings are evacuated all the time when someone finds an inert grenade.
Certainly a monumentally stupid thing to do.

Re: OC of grenades
If nothing else he deserves to have his head examined for pure stupidity.
The real question is if random crazy guy walks into the movies with grenades do you draw on him or hopefully assume they are fake. Those "paper weights" look real until your right on top of them.
Say he threatens you with his grenades I guess your in the clear at that point. You would have to assume he is a threat.

Re: OC of grenades
I do not think it would be a good idea to OC grenades, as I am sure many others would agree (until Glock starts making them.) However, how would this work with say a restored armored vehicle that is road legal with a faux cannon?
Not that I want one, yet...Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!
