Wouldnt you know it , 4 days before the start of archery season and I broke my right Clavicale today !!!! I was playing football at school and dove into the inzone on my shoulder and SNAP. Atleast im not getting kicked out of the EMT academy. They are going to let me complete it a little modified.

Fuckin bummer about your clavicle. I suppose you could always try a little modified bow hunting... Not totally sure how it would work, but nothing i'm sure a little redneck engineering can't solve.

Glad to hear you're not getting tossed out of EMT school.
That would be a little ironic...

Now we see how long it takes for someone to bitch about the word bitch in the thread title...

Sorry to hear that. Wishing you a complete recovery.

(I'm gonna bend the rules a bit though with the new title. Hehe)

Sorry to hear RP! Heal up fast.

That's a common cycling injury, too... most common in low-speed crashes... sucks... do they have you in a figure 8 or will you have to get surgery?

ETA: If your fracture is clean, you might want to look into an intramedullary fixation - that'll have you back up and running in about a week with minimal invasion of the area...

http://www.stoneclinic.com/clavicalfracturerepair (an example, there may be local places here that do it)

This is such a common injury today, especially among cyclists, that there has been a lot of recent research into "fast time to return" fixation techniques.

Saw the title thought it was about the movie "A Christmas story".
