Default Former Phila. Deputy Gets 5 Years for Near-Fatal Shooting of Neighbor

A former Philadelphia sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced to prison for taking the law into her own hands.

Sheriff's deputy Robin Green, 50, shot and nearly killed her 55-year-old neighbor Donald Brown in April 2007 because she believed he had burglarized her South Philadelphia home -- a charge he has repeatedly and categorically denied (see previous stories).

Prosecutor Kendra McCrae:"She picked a victim, she picked a target, she picked someone she believed without any confirmation that he had been burglarizing her, and then decided to sentence him and shoot him and try to take his life."

Brown, shot in the groin, was hospitalized about three months and still has not fully recovered.

Quite surprising that all charges weren't dropped, her behavior deemed not criminal, and that she wasn't reinstated with back pay.

You keep talking like that and she will be assigned to patrol Diegolandia

Be safe (and if she catches any of you guys in her stuff, she'll kill you).
