Anyone go steelhead fishin thinkin on goin next weekend

I want to go but i got plans, plus Saturday is Archery opening day.
Mid-late week would be the best time. The creeks are high and muddy right now. should be plenty of fish coming in and still enough water for good flow and some color.

oh well, the season is here. im sure i get there between now and March

not this weekend but next, and can't wait, sounds like their will be good number of fish with the rain hitting this week.

Drove up yesterday after hearing of how high and muddy the creeks were on Saturday. Hit Elk Creek before daylight, rolled on e and caught one. My buddy got 1 about 45 min later. As soon as the sun hit, no more fish. Water was clearing up as we fished. By noon, it was low and clear. Drove to the Boat Launch, guys were lined up at the Log Jam hole and on the rocks below the launch. Didnt see a fish caught so we headed home.
We did stop at Walnut, man the people lined up on the wall on a Monday. I did have to laugh though. You could see right into the water from the road, right below the bridge, and there were NO fish. Guys were were fishing all around and there were no fish to be seen. Not sure what their plan of attack was.

Need some more rain for about a week straight. Just not that many fish in the streams yet.
