FTF Transfer - Both licensed to carry in Pa.
Hello All,
Me and my buddy want to trade handguns, we both are licensed to carry (Pa residents) and it is not a sale.
Do I need to go to a FFL ? Can I just document the trade?
I looked at this document here
http://www.nraila.org/statelawpdfs/PASL.pdf
On the first page it states
"Exempted is a person who receives the handgun and has a license to carry."
Trying to save a dollar.
Thanks,
Rich

Do the transfer at a dealer, it could save a lot of grief. I believe you may loan a handgun to a person with a LTCF.

Regardless of any money changing hands, it is still transfer of ownership of handguns and needs to go thru a FFL.

Unless your friend happens to be your parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, or spouse, ya gotta do the paperwork for a handgun.

This brings a question to mind.
When is loan a loan? When does a loan become a transfer?
A day, week, month,year?
If a buddy loans me a gun and a year later he never picks it up for whatever reason, but I still have full intention to return the gun when does that good intention become a crime?FUCK BIDEN

The 2A does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not INFRINGE our right.

From what we have seen posted here before though, it is hard to find a sheriff to actually do a handgun transfer(s).
Does anyone know of any sheriff who does them?
