    Default Arnco AK 47

Does anyone know anything about Arnco out of China. It has AK 47 S and Made in China stamped on it, no other markings.

Arnco was the importer of your "generic" CHICOM AKM. I'd bet it was a "Norinco" type, although "PolyTech" tended to use the "AK47S" terminology on the guns they branded.

Nothing wrong with it - think of it as a Norinco.

Back in the day, many different companies imported CHICOM guns, and had them put whatever importer or "importer's brand" they paid for. "B-West" was another of the popular importers, along with "CIS", "Keng's" in Atlanta - which had exclusive rights to the so-called PolyTech goods - and others.

Along with the unbranded generics from folks like B-West, you also had the branded "Norinco" and "PolyTech" guns that represented product from commercial concerns selling beyond China's borders, with North China Industries being the largest.
