AK polymer furniture... yes or no
I had wanted an underfolder, but after weighing the pros and cons of an underfolder based on some good information from some of our members, I decided not to buy it. So... I'm trying to decide between polymer and wood stocks.
What is your opinion of K-var furniture on an AK? What are the pros and cons of polymer furniture vs basic wood stocks on an AK? How much would you expect to pay for polymer furniture and also to have it put on for you?
Thanks for the info.

It's very easy to put on, but make sure its compatable.
I personaly like poly furniture. I really like T6 stocks on them too.
Expect to pay $40-$125WAKE UP OR WACO!

I'm a traditionalist i like wood, and like the man above said its easy to put on. the lower handguard might be a pain in the ass though. shop around k-var is a bit pricy. thats my two cents. wheres the picture of your ak? you buy an ak and don't even post a picture.

Re: AK polymer furniture... yes or no
Oh sorry, I didn't realize how I wrote that. I am deciding between buying an AK with traditional wood stocks or buying one with polymer already added. I will certainly post pics of it when I get it, as it will be my first rifle.

I prefer poly furniture. Not only is it lighter, but I like black. Or you could go plum, or green if that appeals to you more.
As for putting it on. It's easy. Nothing you can't handle.

Either or would be correct. Wood looks better on the Chinese & Romanian AKs, plastic on the Bulgy and other 74s.
My Romy SAR-1 with K-Var plastic. It now sports a black plastic stock also.

Re: AK polymer furniture... yes or no
I've been pondering this as well.
My solution is to buy two. One wood, and one polymer.
I already have a WASR with the wood... now I need a solution for my solution, because I can't afford another AK at the moment.
Tough call. I like both.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: AK polymer furniture... yes or no
Honestly? Even though I own some with 'black furniture' I freaking hate the way they look ... just something about a nice wood grain on an AK that makes me say 'yeah baby'
But when all is said and done it's your choice, some people love the 'black gun' look, some of us like a more traditional look.
