    Default Kel-tec firing problem

I have a kel-tec P3AT that I bought a couple months ago. I haven't run too many rounds through it(just over 100), and I'm having problems with it firing. There have been many times when it didn't fire. At first, I thought it was the ammo, prvi partizan, then I switched to remington, and got the same results. The rounds that didn't fire were rechambered and tried again. Normally they went off the second time around, but I've had a few that took 4-5 tries. I'm going to contact kel-tec, but I was curious to see if anyone had a similiar problem.

Sounds like you are getting lite firing pin strikes. I have 2 p3at's, no problems like this. Sounds like a new firing pin spring is needed.

    I'll second that.

In my experiance KT customer service is top notch. Contact them. If its something you can fix they can send you the part, if not then you may need to send back to them.

I had to send back my sub2k, it went back through the dealer at no cost and I had it fixed, and better than new with extra upgrades done, and back in my hands inside 2 weeks.

The prvi partizan were fmj, the remington were jhp.

As far as the customer service, I've heard nothing but great things which is part of the reason I decided to buy a kel-tec.
