    Smile My first firearm...the Skeeter

Just picked it up today at Seneca Arms. John was awesome, as usual.

Sorry, the pics aren't the best quality. I don't have a digital camera, took these with my cellphone.

Sorry about that, I had it in another thread in the Pistols forum. Here it is...

I put 100 rounds of Sidewinder 50's through it, only 1 FTF. Made consistent <2" groups at 10 yds, no rapid firing. I went slow and deliberate to make sure I had the target back in my sights. Handles beautifully, very little recoil and very comfortable in my hand. I plan on going back in a few days with CCI Mini Mags, the ammo of choice for this gun. Hopefully, there won't be an FTFs with that ammo. The Sidewinders came from the range, which is my fault because I misread their website.

brand new or used? have you shot it? how does it shoot?

atleast the ammo is easy to find and also cheap..or cheaper than, ya know. .45's .40's

My next handgun I think is gonna be a sig. Just haven't looked into them yet because I'm not ready to buy another pistol. I bought to 3 guns in the past 4 months, 2 of the 3 are handguns. the 3rd one is a .22 GSG-5 which is great!

well best of luck with the gun!

Brand new, got it at Seneca Arms in Green Lane. I posted a range report earlier in the thread.

Just incase you don't frequent the SigForum.com... check out these two threads on the Mosquito. I just did the trigger job a few weeks ago, it really smoothed out the double action and made the single action break crisper.

I had a coupon for Cabela's, spend $500, get a gift card for $150, so monday I went and pickup up one of these. I got the reversed two tone model.
    http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/Sho...&productid=161

It was $340, plus taxes and transfer fees. It has a slightly cheap feel, with so much plastic, but even still, I like it. And it really looks nice with that finish.

Tuesday I put 100 CCI mini-mags through it with no problems. Wednesday night I put 100 Centurion AC22SP through it, and had two fail to feeds. Fired one shot, and had the first failure, and thought, crap, here we go. But everything went well till I was just about done, and the second to last shot didn't feed.

It shoots well. It's hitting a tad high, but once I adjusted my aim for that, I was able to keep everything very centered on a paper plate at 20 yards, shooting it as fast as I could. I also threw some cans on a hillside, and was able to have them dancing around with just about every shot from 25 yards or so, with a little slower firing. So far, this has been a very fun gun. And a lot cheaper shooting than my 229 .40.

Now I need another mag or two, and might put the Sig light/laser on it. I'll shoot a brick or so, and by then I'll see if I want to give it to a buddy who is a gunsmith, to smooth it out a bit.

    Happy shooting y'all!

I noticed an ad mentioning Sig P226s with the .22lr upper. If I remember correctly, the Mosquito is the same basic shape and design of the 226 just a bit smaller.

Anyway, congrats on the new purchase.
