Florida Permit
I am in the process of getting my Florida permit. I got all the information from their website, my question is where did you go and get your fingerprints taken, and how long after I my information packet and send my application back to Florida, what is the turn around time on receiving my permit? Also is there anything else besides what I have read on the website that I am going to have to do? Did anyone have any issues or problems with receiving their CCW?
I might be moving to Indiana, and it would be nice to have Ohio thru Florida just so I didn't have to pack it up as I drive thru there.
Thanks
Jason

Re: Florida Permit
You can go to your local police department or state police barracks. Sometimes they will refuse to do it locally, so you might have to check with neighboring departments to get prints done.
Florida is backlogged right now, statutorily they have either 60 or 90 days to issue. But they have been backed up due to the loads of applications coming in.
You'll need proper sized photos to submit with the app.

Re: Florida Permit
There's another way to go, which will cost a little more money but saves the legwork. A lot of ranges hold "FLA or UT permit all in one day" type events, where you go to the range and they have the required training class there, a local PD guy does the fingerprints, they take the photos, they walk you through the paperwork and then notarize it. That saves the 4 or 5 separate errands you'd need to run.

I just took the class. easy one stop shopping. Not cheap but no running around. I did VA along with FL. The instructor said Va about 30 days, Fl running months behind.
