    Default Lee Auto Prime R.I.P.

Well, it's been 6 years and at least 100,000 rounds, and my Lee Auto Prime finally broke. I'm gonna call Lee in the AM and see if they'll sell me a replacement for the piece that broke.

I'm also thinking of getting a different model. Anyone here ever used the new model of the Auto Prime, the Auto Prime II I think it's called? Anyone know if it would work with the Lee hand press to make it a "hand held"? (for use in front of the TV of course!)

That's what I use and have gone through 100,000 + primers and it's still a ticking and as for a hand press , I guess it would work , just bulky .

Thanks to Lycanthrope and his "box-o-spare parts" It's back together and still goin!

I think I'm still gonna get me an Auto Prime II just because...

Anyone have a suggestion on another brand of priming tool? (preferably one that dosen't cost more than $30 -$40)

I picked up an Auto Prime II today. It does work on the Lee hand press, but it takes a little getting used to! After priming 100 rounds with it, i pretty much got a system down.

It does work much smoother on my bench mounted press.

    Definately worth the $15 though!
