In the market for a new gun..
I just cant decide what to get, i am pretty much bouncing between a 9mm, or a 1911.
I saw a kimber 1911 style 10mm the other day, that caught my attention but no guns are jumping off the shelf at me. anyone know of any hidden secrets out there?
I was thinking of getting a suppressed gun together but it seems to be such a b*tch and I cant even get any shops to answer when I call, seems to be all people in their basement who have the license just so they can have automatic gunsLast edited by XD45; July 2nd, 2007 at 12:59 AM.

Split the difference and look at a BHP. Little bit of 1911, little bit of high cap 9mm.
If i lived in the earlier half of the 20th century, my sidearm of choice.

Did you think of a 9mm 1911? I know Springfield and Para Ordinance both make 9mm 1911's.
If you do get one of these, let us know what you got and how you like it. I have been wanting a 1911, but don't like the cost of .45 acp.

Re: In the market for a new gun..
On the 9mm side of things, a bunch of H&K P7 PSP series guns just hit the market. They're certainly something different.
They're police trade-ins and refurbs, ranging in condition from clearly used to damn near mint. CDNN (along with a few local gunshops I've seen) is stocking them. Prices at my local shop have been running in the $700-$900 range.
I'd buy one myself, but I already have a P7M8. While they're basically the same gun, they don't share holsters or magazines, and I don't feel like buying all the extra stuff. I'll probably pick up another P7M8 if I see a used one going for a decent price. The material presented herein is for informational purposes only, is not guaranteed to be correct, complete, or up to date, does not constitute legal advice and does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Add in another vote for the BHP. (or FN HP, same diff). It's a great gun, also designed by our buddy Moses.
I need to get my hands on one. Or a CZ-75.

Get yourself a full size 1911. You know you want one.

Shiiiiiiit, even moses liked the High Power better than the 1911 IIRC. Don't remember where I heard that though.

You'll see them all at the group shoot on Sunday. Everything from 1911's and Glocks, to Springfields and the best handgun on the market, the Sig P220 in .45 ACP.
You'll probably end up wanting to buy 3 new guns by Sunday afternoon!VEGETARIAN: Native American word meaning "bad hunter"
