Front Sight Visibility
So here's a tip for which I have to credit Paul Ripic Sr. (A good IDPA shooter)
Us older guys have trouble seeing the front sights, sometimes it's tough to focus on them and sometimes we just loose the black sight against the black of a target.
Paul's solution is to use fishing lure and jig paint to paint the front sight. Works great and it's relatively inexpensive too.
I tried the CS Coatings brand from Bass Pro Shop and so far so good. The final color must be applied over CS white, be sure to degrease the surface first. Also you must use the CS brand thinner for clean up. Turpentine doesn't work.
Right now I'm trying chartruese green and hot pink (on different guns) both are stand out colors and easy to spot in most light conditions.
