Dream guns

I Recently picked up a XD-45. It strikes me that this gun is a copulation of the features of a glock and a 1911.

So I thought a thread should be started asking if you could take the features of a few firearms what would they be?

I would simply update the 1911 as follows.

1. A hinged, spring loaded extractor (that actually works).

2. The thumb safety / slide stop plunger tube would be milled as part of the frame.

3. Delete the grip screw bushings.

4. Delete the grip safety.

I would love an AK that you can change calibers as easy as you can with ARs.
