Address on LTCF
I recently moved and my LTCF still has my old address on it. Does this mean that my LTCF is not valid anymore?

Re: Address on LTCF
No, it does not mean that. Your LTCF is good all over PA, regardless of where you live.
Update your address info at next renewal, unless you are coll with paying the full renewal fee right now, before the LTCF has expired.
ETA: I missed that this is your first post... Welcome to PAFOA!!While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Address on LTCF
Just contact issuing sheriff so their office can update their records. That way they send renewal or revocation notice to the right place...

Re: Address on LTCF
Yeah, inform the Sheriff's Department of your new address, but there is no need to get a new card.

Make sure you change your address with PennDot and get the little addendum card to go with your license also.

Re: Address on LTCF
thanks for the info. i didn't want to have any issues with anyone saying that my LTCF isn't valid because i don't live at the address on the card. also, anyone in the area want to get together to shoot sometime let me know. i don't know a whole lot of people around me that enjoy shooting and it gets pretty lonely always shooting by yourself.

Re: Address on LTCF
I was planning on looking this up when I got home tonight and low and behold here's a new thread about it. I'm moving in the next month or so and that's kinda what I figured.
Welcome to the forum.
I'd be down for getting together to shoot sometime or just talk guns. My work schedule sucks so I usually go alone as well.

Re: Address on LTCF
Per 18Pa.C.S.6109 your LTCF is valid throughout the commonwealth until expired/revoked. Their is no statutory requirement to update your address.
However. Updating your address with the sheriff's dept that issued the licence will ensure you receive your renewal notice AND/OR any other important notices such as revocation letters.
So while not mandatory, it may be in your best interest to let the issuing authority know of your new address_________________________________________

Re: Address on LTCF
welcome. i moved to lancaster bout a year ago. just went ot the courthouse and they said i didnt need to do anything. just gotta renew my ltcf there. my renewal is coming up in feruary.
as far as shooting.....look into the mount joy sportsman association. i joined bout 4 months ago. nice club. alot of people dont like it because they are more of a target club and dont allow tactical/defensive type shooting, but it dont matter to me as long as im shooting.
