Range Safety Officer questions
Is the NRA Range Safety Officer certification the only one out there? Are there other companies/groups providing Range Safety Officer training?
It doesn't appear the certification expires, but I imagine it's always good to get refreshers. Are there other RSOs on here who get re-certified?
Does anyone have praise for a particular NRA Range Safety Officer class/instructor?

Re: Range Safety Officer questions
Just about any shooting organization out there will have their own version of an RSO. IDPA etc., but some ranges require the cert to be NRA. For example, although I have an Appleseed cert, which took much longer and is more involved than the NRA version I also went to NRA because some ranges require it.
Not that you want to go to New Hampshire, but I took mine with Tony Ledas, a great guy and a Free Stater. PM for his number.

Re: Range Safety Officer questions
The NRA course is a great start and I recommend it. Like chainsaw stated it is the most recognized training you could have. good luck with your search and training.

Re: Range Safety Officer questions
You do not need to be recerted; just pay your fees when due for reup.

Re: Range Safety Officer questions
There is no recertification. But when the expiration date gets close you need to renew the card.
