One final NFA question
Allright, I spent all night reading and looking over the internet and I just want to make sure this is 100% correct.
If I order a lower, have it engraved with the appropriate markings, then file a Form 1 with THAT lower, can I then put a Short barrel on it?
Also, can anyone confirm if you can put multiple calibers and barrel lengths on the form 1, or can you only put 1?
Thank you

Re: One final NFA question
You only need to put 1 length on the Form 1.
The form is to manufacture a firearm. The initial manufacture has only 1 overall length, and 1 barrel length.
Any changes after that are just that...changes.
You are NOT REQUIRED to even tell the ATFE about permanent changes, however it is good practice to inform them that you can no longer assemble the rifle in the configuration on the form 1.(if you would sell the orig. upper)
Oh, don't forget, you should have the APPROVED Form 1 in hand BEFORE having posession of both the lower, and a less than 16" upper.
Search constructive possession.
Hope this helps.NEVER TRUST A PRIVATE WITH A LOADED WEAPON OR AN OFFICER WITH A MAP

Re: One final NFA question
Only put one caliber in block 4c on the Form 1.
Some guys get away with "multi" and other guys get their forms sent back for corrections. dont take the chance at a longer wait. just put down one: 223 or 5.56, 9mm, 22LR.....whatever
