So I got a new job!

As the title says... I am now in week three of my new job! I'm LOVIN every minute of it!!! I went through 1 week of plant training, learning how they measure radiation exposure (mRem/Rem), and crap like that. Now weeks two and three have been WEAPONS TRAINING!!!! Yeah! So for the past two weeks I've been getting paid to litterally, "shoot until I am comfortable with it."

Through the past three weeks, I've seen three doctors, and qualified with my weapons!!!

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm in training to become an armed guard with Shippingport Nuclear power plant {First Energy Nuclear Operating Company} (F.E.N.O.C.). They told me I will be certified above and beyond what act 235 offers! haha. I was told that they are training us better than what most local police departments are!

I'm so happy. I'm doing something I love, AND GETTING PAID FOR IT! It's not a job so much as something I'm very passionate about. Sometime next week I start O.J.T. (on the job training), THAT'S gonna be fun!

K, I've written a book. gonna jet now....

And don't you dare even think of sending me for a strip search when i go in there!!! (which has only been 4 times in 20 years...)

I'm not sure to tell you the truth... I know 200 people applied, and they only hired 12. One female already dropped out, so there are 11 of us now. EVERYONE else knows someone in the security office there at the plant, I'm the only one who doesn't know anyone! haha.

As soon as they hire again, and I hear about it... haha. I'll post it up here.... or you can frequently check their website, www.securitas.com jobs section, then armed guard at the shippingport pa location. That's where I went to get the job.

EXACTLY! HAHA. I also just found out that since I have to train for my job, my PERSONAL AR and my ammo, is a TAX WRITE OFF!!!! Unless the guy I spoke to was lyin to me....this job ONLY GETS BETTER BY THE DAY! HAHA.

HAHA.... A little magnet next to the radiation detector when you walk through it and BOOM! You're off to Decon! hahahaha.

i never had to do that before, but one of our guys did...
i suppose i am not as suspicious looking as he was!
