Yet another First Time OC
This past Saturday was my first time to OC in public. I was out with a buddy (a non gun owner) and we stopped at Wegmans and Turkey Hill. Later on I was out by myself and went to Walmart.
We weren't at Wegmans for more than a couple minutes when a guy walked up to me and, instead of saying something about my gun as I expected, started talking to me about my t-shirt. (Funny, I had a similar encounter the first time I CC'd). It was from a country artist and I got it at a concert last year. He checked out the front and the back, made lots of comments about the artists and the shirt, but not a single thing about the gun. I noticed him glance at my right hip a couple times but he didn't say a word. I wasn't sure if he wanted to talk about it but didn't know how. I wasnt sure if it would be in bad taste for me to bring it up since we were already talking, or just let him initiate the conversation. I don't know, maybe I missed a good education opportunity.
Anyway, the day was uneventful otherwise except after I was home for a while and my wife eventually asked, "Honey, do you have to carry in the house?" LOL

Re: Yet another First Time OC
I hear that from my wife as well. She's not fond of the OC idea. Her cousing is a DA in Allentown and got her to agree that someone who is looking for a gun to steal will see and it miraculously make it theirs; mix that with the "rookie cops that will shoot first and ask questions later". Even after explaining things, neither one wanted to budge in their misconceptions.
I'm breaking her in with a lot of CC, but want to OC at some point. She asked the other day "how much action I saw" at Grandma's house (Breinigsville). Said she was lucky, it was a quiet day. It's also much better to be an evicted survivor than an obedient corpse. -GunLawyer001
