New Tobyhanna Range Update

I've seen that guy giving classes up there before. Standing onthe range at the 10 yard line giving tactical drills to people with ARs at 7 yards. I'm waiting for them to get hit with ricochets

7 yards with an AR?
Wow. And there I was trying my hardest to get close to the bulls eye at 10 yards with my tiny little Kel Tec!

NEw to the area and curious what the deal is with Tobyhanna range. Can I shoot my shotgun w/ slugs there? And other than a 30$ range permit is there anything else I need? Can I just show up and shoot?

You need either your range permit or hunting license. You can use your shotgun but slugs only. No shot of any kind.

For handguns there are about 6 with 10 and 25 yard targets. For rifles there are around 10 with 100+ range targets. The PA DNR website can give you more specifics.

My dad's in town. I'll be taking him and both daughters down around noon today. Probably spend most of our time at the pistol range, but ay end up at the 50yd range.
