Citizen's Bank Park?
Can anyone tell me: How is the screening at the entrances at CB Park?
Wand in use or thorough frisking being done?
Will be attending a game soon. GO PHILS!

Last time i went they only did a bag check at the gate. The time before there was a quick pat down but just the side of the body.

Read this thread: http://forum.pafoa.org/concealed-car...bank-park.html
ETA: My take away from the story above is to carry it in. If they discover your carrying, tell them you have a license to carry and ask that you can go an lock your gun up at the police locker in the stadium. Ask to see a supervisor if they given you problems.

Re: Citizen's Bank Park?
I've carried there several times. Never any search or wanding when I've walked in.

Re: Citizen's Bank Park?
Went to the game last night against the Mets. We won 4-2 on a very soggy night.
Anyhow, the main entrance to the left of McFadden's they were doing extremely poor pat downs and searches. Half assed looking in purses and bags I had a raincoat rolled up the guy glanced at and patted me once in one spot, the spot I would have had my SP101.
I take the subway when I go to the game so I didn't carry. I know you carry on SEPTA, I'm the one asked and found out you can (see HERE) I also read the story on the member who ended putting his piece in the police locker when it was posted last month. I didn't want to take the chance of not being offered that option if found out and since I took the El & Broad Street subway I would have had no where to stow the gun. I bought the tickets in July, one of a few birthdays gifts for my wife, she was very excited to go, only her second big league game ever. So I wasn't going to be turned away.
Anyway to summarize and answer the OP question, this time they did in fact search and pat down folks, however it was not thorough at all, it was a hit or miss kind of thing.

Re: Citizen's Bank Park?
it depends on the entrance. some of them don't pat down at all. the main gate does a weak pat down and searches bags.

Re: Citizen's Bank Park?
Most stadiums and arenas pat the sides and waist. I have even had the ankles fisked going to Eagles games, they are looking for flasks in socks more than guns.
Each time I have been carrying they have not found my gun. This is because I am wearing my gun right in the center of my chest, under my coat.
See I go to Alaska fly fishing and once you get waders on where do you put your gun? The answer is a sportmens holster. Here are a few examples. I own the Ruger one and they make in a right and left hand draw. I carry my Ruger Alaskan when fishing in Alaska as bear repelent, but it also works well for a large frame pistol like a Glock 17, Taurus PT92AF, Sig P226 or a 1911 but does not have a mag pocket like the other two do.

Re: Citizen's Bank Park?
Went to the Phillies game on 10/1/09 and went in the East Gate. I was CC'ing. They did a pat down and noticed the firearm. I was told that I could secure the firearm in the police locker. I debated about that and chose to put my firearm in my car.
