    Default First Time Going SBR

    Hey all

Well this is my first time going SBR and I could use some step by step help on this as I know very little concerning the Forms and how to acquire them. I wish to take my MP5 Clone (Rifle) down to an SBR, I currently own the rifle.

I read this thread to start
    http://forum.pafoa.org/nfa-class-3-t...a-jaybell.html

So I am assuming the following

Step #1 Would be to acquire the forms. So, how and where do I get them?

Okay, you can go here and either print them or order them. To order them, click on the distribution center order form link. To print them, go to the 5300 section.

    http://www.atf.gov/forms/index.htm

You will need at least 2 of each of the following

    ATF5320.1 ( form 1)
    ATF5330.30 ( certification of compliance )
    FD-258LE ( finger print cards )

Or you can go here and print them out - you'll still need the same forms

    http://www.titleii.com/TitleII.com/Forms.html

Once you get the forms, come back and ask specific questions and i'll walk you through it. It's pretty simple (after you've done one or two).

Go with a trust, not the individual with the fingerprints and such, so that family and/or significant other can possess it legally in your absence if they want to take it to the range.

Do not go with a trust - there's too much scrutiny going on with trusts these days. I do not trust them (haha trust them-get it ) If you want to do away with fingerprints and have family / significant others be able to possess them do an LLC. Just my humble .02.

    Ah yes, LLC works.

Great news Fr0sty! Hope she treats you well. good luck with the SBR endeavor, I knew she was always destined to be one.
I have done everything with the individual route and prefer it, especially if you aren't going to jump hip deep into the NFA world.

Thanks for the great feedback. Forms are on there way, and when I have them in hand I will post an update.

    ithinkimamedic,

Thanks again, I still can't wipe the smile off my face from how it ran. The only other item I am looking to score is a suppressor. So while I am at the Harrisburg show tomorrow I am going to stop by forceinpa to see the details and possibly get the ball rolling.
