To our non-resident PA holders
Of those of you on the forum whom are NOT PA residents, but have the PA LTCF...do any of you have the hard plastic card?
I've been reading other State forums on USACarry.com and OpenCarry.org...and its seems that all NON-res get the paper license.

Re: To our non-resident PA holders
PA resident here, but I'm going to provide info to enlighten you to the situation.
Paper is all that Centre County issues, and since that is where most apply - thats why they have the paper cards.
If you apply in person at JeffCo, you can get the plastic card. They take a digital image and affix it to the license. If you mail it in with a passport photo - you're gonna get the paper card. Other counties have differing policies.Last edited by knight0334; September 10th, 2009 at 09:18 PM.

My brother-in-law lives in OH. He got the plastic license from Beaver County, byt he applied in person. Mail in may be different.

Can I renew in a different county and get the plastic? Like most people, I got mine from Centre.

Paper? My LTCF(Berks County issued 07) looks like a DL.
I thought that's what they all look like. Is it up to the county how they make it?

Re: To our non-resident PA holders
From the members of DELOC.org (DE OC). Most have gotten theirs from Centre Country, some from Chester County (it's real close). A few that got them from Centre County have reduced and laminated it themselves. Most everyone that drove to West Chester got the smaller laminated ones.

Re: To our non-resident PA holders
As a non-resident you can apply in any county, but you'll need to do so at a Sheriff that is friendly to issuing to non-residents. Several aren't, and some of those that do wont do mail issuing - must be in person.
There really isn't a "renewal" of the PA LTCF, its the same process and fee as a new issue.
