Re: Smith and Wesson Sigma
Cant be much cheaper then a ruger p85, roughly the same size and twice the gun a sigma is.

Re: Smith and Wesson Sigma
I have to agree with what most have said, for the prices its ok. I looked at one for a while. I ended up not getting it because the way it felt. to bulky for me, didn't love the grip. Make sure you hold it, see if you like the way it feels. All that being said, the price is a big selling point. You don't find many hi cap autos for around 200 bucks used. If you can find one cheap and can deal with a crappy trigger, go for it.

Re: Smith and Wesson Sigma
I have a couple, and the 40 shoots very well. Of course, I have had the S&W rep in Texas go over the triggers (Free- warranty work). I am going to try the DIY trigger mods posted here on the board, but as they are now, @8 lbs, they aren't too bad. The 40 shoots better than the 9's for me, anyway.
Good guns for the price, even if it were higher.

Re: Smith and Wesson Sigma
i do not have a sigma myself but i have seen three specifically at my range, here's how it went
Gun 1: Lady shooting the gun and could not hit paper at 15 yards. I asked to help her out thinking she might have been a total noob or something really wrong with the gun. I could not hit paper also but noticed the rounds were hitting the ground about 10 yards out....maybe unimaginable awful sights?
Gun 2: A guy at my range was shooting, about 50 rounds in his firing pin broke, gun was brand new
Gun 3: My buddy has one and is every bit as reliable and accurate as my glock yet a fraction of the price
Conclusion: Although reviews of these guns are not bad besides the trigger, I saw only one that worked properly. Although the other two could have been a huge coincidence

Re: Smith and Wesson Sigma
I've had mine (9mm) for 6-7 years now and have never had a stovepipe or jam up. While the trigger is not the best, I like the gun way more than the Ruger P95 I had or the P89 my buddy has.

Re: Smith and Wesson Sigma
The guy at my range absolutely hammered the Sigma series when I asked him about. Said the gun was cheap, unreliable, and awful on resale. Not my words but based on all the sound advice he has given me in the past, I'm inclined to believe him.
