    Smile Dinner w/Lisa & a Sig (Episode 5)

    Good evening.

Did everyone have an awesome Labor Day weekend? I sure did! Bicycling on Saturday to Green Lane Park was fun as usual and I was able to see some of the preparations underway for the annual Scottish-Irish Festival coming this weekend. I'll be there! Yay! This is the first year that they will have the newly-constructed amphitheatre for the main performance stage. I'm looking forward to lots of celtic rock among other features.

Sunday's kayaking trip was equally awesome. I paddled around Marsh Creek Lake for four hours checking out interesting nooks and crannies along the way. I managed to get a nice picture of a pelican (well, I think it's a pelican, but the beak looks kind of short to be a pelican), which was being cooperative. Here's the little guy:

In this episode of Dinner w/Lisa and a Sig we have Lisa's awesomely-neat-looking Sig Sauer P228 Tactical with the optional Sig Sauer STL-900L tactical light and LASER mounted.

The Sig Sauer STL-900L is extremely neat. The LED light is phenomenally bright and it has a strobe function that could be used to disorient a potential target. The built in LASER is adjustable for windage and elevation and projects a wickedly bright red dot on targets. The STL-900L is ambidextrous with lighting controls conveniently mounted on both sides of the tactical light/LASER attachment.

    This P228 Tactical is a full-sized 9mm DA/SA (double action/single action) pistol with a double stack magazine capable of holding 13 cartridges making this P228 Tactical's overall ordnance capacity 13 + 1.

I decided on succotash as my side for this evening's grilled chicken entree since there are so many succotash lovers in the forum.

And, now, on to the meal and Sig...

Figure 2. Grilled-to-perfection seasoned blackened organically-farm-raised chicken drumstick and thigh with a generous portion of succotash by Lisa; side salad consisting of organically-farmed Romaine lettuce, cubed vine-ripened tomato and Chickpeas by Lisa; water and ice with a lemon wedge by Brita, P228 Tactical by Sig Sauer, STL-900L Tactical Light & LASER by Sig Sauer and white 100% cotton gloves by Sally Beauty Supply.

Figure 3. Close-up of awesome P228 Tactical w/STL-900L mounted keeping me company while I eat my delicious chicken, succotash and side salad. Yum!

Oh, sorry about the green toothpick. I was too hungry to fool with it. LOL

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

    Cormorant it is.

We had them behind our house in Miami. They are quite an interesting bird especially when you watch them take flight. They need a long runway and go from mostly submerged to running on water to taking flight. When they swim you usually only see their neck above water like the Loch Ness Monster.

When I saw your picture of the meal... I thought... Cormorant!?!?! or chicken? HA!

First I saw the bird. Then I saw the chicken leg and breast. Then I thought, poor bird lost that gun battle.
