The Utah one, you have to pay for the class AND the permit. So you probably have like ... $150-$200 in the end. Plus, the Utah one takes longer to receive from what I hear. The Utah takes like 3 months to receive, and the Florida takes about a month.

Like I said, not well versed, so I could be wrong on all of that...but from what I think I know, its cheaper. The advantages to the Utah are the extra firearm/law training under your belt, and the 2 different states (can't remember what they are. If you happen to need those specific states). Florida is quicker, easier, and cheaper. Plus, if you can't get the Utah class....like us right now...you don't have a choice. You can't get it. So it wouldn't matter if the Florida WAS more expensive.
The killer are the renewals for Florida: $75 vs. Utah $10

    I didn't know that........at least they last 7 years though. That's a little over $10 per year.

    Sounds like a plan.

I want the Utah one, if for nothing else, for the training. But, if we can't get the people... ya know.

I know there are a handful of people from our area on this forum. Surely they would be interested?? Unless they already had the training, of course.

I'm about 45 mins or so West of Altoona. Let me know when/where for the class. If it's do-able, I'll be there.

I'll also ask around to see if some others are interested.

Please count me in for the class. I work a flex schedule so I will attend regardless of the date.
