Show me your favorite handgun, or two, or three.
Mine is a recent aquisition.(Ruger GP100 3" .357 Mag.) I was sceptical at first, but after a trip to the range I was shooting this thing better than just about any pistol I own. (The double action shots amazed me)! Single action was putting bullets through the same hole at 15 yrds.
All this with fixed sights, and a mere 3" barrel to boot!
God bless the GP100!
P.S. Kudos also for my Seecamp LWS32 which will shoot a 2" group at 7yrds shooting one handed stronghand only.(With NO sights).
Props to my Glock 23 that can shoot better than me also. Never a failure in about 5000+ rounds.(And I bought it used).
I just love guns that shoot better than I do!
Lets hear your stories, and see your pics!

Re: Show me your favorite handgun, or two, or three.
Sorry no pics, Im' at work but I'll tell you what they are.
1) Glock 26: This gun feels great in my hand and shoots where I point it. It is reliable, no hiccups since I have owned it with many rounds down range. It can handle all needs from sub-compact gun to nightstand duty and range toy with the change of a magazine. Many say it looks like a block which I agree with but to me it's beauty is in it's simplicity, reliability and ruggedness. It does'nt hurt that it's a transformer with mag changes either.
2) 1911: really must anymore be said. Only reason it's not number one is because if I had to choose one the Glock is used for defense and would get the knod. It's sleek, sexy, and powerful with a ton of Americana in every pull of the trigger.
3) Hi-power: To me this is a 1911 in 9mm format. I know the differences of them but it's the same to me. It's looks great, shoots great, and is just fun to play with at the range.

Re: Show me your favorite handgun, or two, or three.
I vote this one as
"Most likely to go to the range" with me.
I've been shooting it for a while, I rarely clean it, Shots anything, And just last month I tried it on the 50 yard range.... I was shooting 3.25" groups or there abouts with Bulk ammo on the 50 yard range with Iron sights and no rest or bags...
It is funny how ofter this one follows me to the range!

I haven't really had enough range time with all of them yet but right NOW I would have to say
- Sig Sauer 229r 9mm
But I know that there are many others out there that I probably would love but just don't have the money or time to shoot.

Re: Show me your favorite handgun, or two, or three.
I've posted this before, but since you asked...
A 1917 vintage commercial Colt 1911. It was Grampa's, then Dad's, now mine. Grampa and Dad shot competitive Bullseye with it and there is no telling how many thousands of rounds have been down the pipe. I remember the very first time I was allowed to shoot it. Grampa drove us down a dirt road on the outskirts of Raymond, NH and we put some old cans up on a wooden fence. Grampa had it stoked with his competition loads, an H&G #130 over some tiny charge of Hercules Bullseye. Real softball loads they were, but I was 8 years old and had only shot .22's up to that point. Old slab sides made quite an impression on this kid.
Grampa was the one that soldered on the Patridge front and bobbed the hammer. No doubt killed any collector value, but no matter... It's priceless to me.
