I finally got to go shooting with that friend of mine. His overprotective mother was out of the house on Saturday. I just drove over there, picked him up, took him to the range, and had a blast there.

Before we did anything with the Ruger 10/22, we did go over safety. But after that, we did some shooting at 100 yards. I would have preferred to do 50 yards, but that part of the range was totally covered with collapsed tree branches.

I asked my friend what he thought of the experience and he said that it was great. He admitted that shooting isn't as easy as it seems in the movies. When I asked him about owning guns, he said that he definitely wanted to get something as soon as he moves out of his mom's house.

Lol, the only other thing he has to do is set up that separate checking account.

Good job. In all seriousness what you did is really important. If everyone who shoots just took one person out to the range the way you did and introduce them to shooting, things would be very different. Even if they decide they don't particularly enjoy shooting, they end up with a different perspective and more respect for both firearms and the 2nd Amendment. At least that has been my experience. Once again, +1 on the way.
