Default I braved a whole new world today

I have been CC for a little while now and have weighed the idea of OC'ing in more public areas. I normally OC when I go hiking in the woods(not in state parks). Today I decided to give it a try at the bank and few other businesses around town while I ran errands. I had a few suspicious glances at the bank but they know me there and were just a little surprised to see my OC I think. I went from there to the ghost town trail in Ebensburg where I live and had my kids with me. As I was crossing a section next to a ballfield with a bunch of kids playing a cop pulled out and saw me and looked at my gun and then pulled out and drove away; I guess an armed man with his two-year old daughter on his shoulders didn't give much cause for alarm...lol.

My neighbor that lives in the apartment downstairs saw my gun and struck up a conversation about the 2nd amendment which ended with her saying she wishes more people would do that and we would all be a lot safer. I must say it can be awkward at times but it gives a real opportunity to educate people about the rights we have as law-abiding citizens to arm ourselves. I think I may OC more often.

Good post and welcome to the forum, sir However, I am concerned with your above statement.

I'm assuming you have a retention holster of some kind for your firearm, but even so, carrying your daughter on your shoulders does not seem like a good thing to be doing while OCing or CCing for that matter.

What if you needed to get to your gun quickly in a situation?
Your hands are occupied holding onto your daughter plus she is on your shoulders limiting your tactical moves.

    Just sayin'...

You know something, your post reminds me of something.

When you get away from the 'burg, and philthy, situations change.

Some of us don't have gangstas running loose around us.......

Cambria Co. does fall into that category.

Not everyone in Pa. is surrounded by scumbags......
