Does anyone need a dependable babysitter?
link
STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Police say a 61-year-old man annoyed with a crying 2-year-old girl at a Walmart slapped the child several times after warning the toddler's mother to keep her quiet.
A police report says after the stranger hit the girl at least four times, he said: "See, I told you I would shut her up."
Roger Stephens of Stone Mountain is charged with felony cruelty to children. It was unclear if he had an attorney and a telephone call to his home Wednesday was unanswered.
Authorities say the girl and her mother were shopping Monday when the toddler began crying. The police report says Stephens approached the mother and said, "If you don't shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you."
Authorities say after Stephens slapped the girl, she began screaming.

WOW, I would have kicked that MF'ers ass from one side of the store to the other. Kids screaming and crying and throwing temper tantrums in public can get annoying, but they do not warrant someone coming up and slapping them. Let alone a complete stranger.
If zombies start chasing us, I'm going to trip you!

If he'd slapped the mother, I'd be donating to his legal defense fund.

Re: Does anyone need a dependable babysitter?
Before I had kids I would have jokingly said good for him, but now I have a toddler, and just picturing that in my mind is making my blood pressure explode. If you feel its neccessary to do something, the very most would be politely saying something to the parent, albeit prepared to be told to fuck off. But laying hands on somebody elses child?!?! I would have to be physically restrained from beating that man, literally, to death inside the store. Two men can have a disagreement and figure it out however it needs to be figured out. Put your hands on my wife or child and you will pay the price. RANT OVER, NEED ZANEX

He should never have touched the toddler , on the other hand the mother should have her children under control if she is going to be in public . Her child pitching a fit might be okay with her but she shouldn't visit it on others .
Don't blame me ; I voted for an American .

I might choke someone to death if they laid hands on either of my daughters. Hopefully someone would be around to stop me.
