Question re: Antique S&W and an old Spanish .25
Two handguns recently came into my possession. The first is an Old Topbreak S&W .32 CTCE in almost new condition. It's hard to tell whether or not it's ever been fired.
The other is a Automatica Espanola, Bufalo (.25)
It's in fair shape after I disassembled and cleaned it thoroughly. It appears safe to shoot.
I have photo's of both"Mongo just pawn in game of life"

Re: Question re: Antique S&W and an old Spanish .25
And your question is? If looking for value we need much more info and pics if possible.
For the S&W, is it:
Single Action?
Double Action?
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th Model?
Safety Hammerless?
1st, 2nd, 3rd Model?
What is the s/n? (you don't have to give the complete number, everything but the last 3 is fine)
If SA, anywhere from $75 to $6000 depending on barrel length, markings, nickel or blue (scarce), with the factory wood case (case itself would be worth $500-$800), etc.
If DA 1st Model you got a keeper, very rare, worth over $10,000. 2nd Model and up anywhere from $100 to $750
If Safety Hammerless, anywhere from $75 to $950Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Re: Question re: Antique S&W and an old Spanish .25
Ooh! Can I play too!
.32 S&W DA
From what I can tell it's a 4th model top break. Pinned front sight, hammer, nickel. Seems to be in full working order. Holds its timing on the trigger pull. There is a part of the original grip that is worn down. 162XXX
All are clicky for big ones. Sorry, I've just been really dying for an idea what it's worth. Because if it isn't worth much, I'm definitely shooting it.

Re: Question re: Antique S&W and an old Spanish .25
Asmodeus6,
Serical Number definitely makes it a 4th Model. From the pictures I'd probably put it in the Good to low Very Good range so it wo8ld probably be worth $150 - $200. More a shooter than a collector. Manufacture date from 1883 to 1909.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Re: Question re: Antique S&W and an old Spanish .25
The Buffalo is prob a striker-fired, and is a quaint little gun. Not the best of steel, but one of those "between the wars" exports. Safe to fire, durable, but be sure the safety is FULLY FUNCTIONAL if you intend to carry it loaded.
I had one, a long time ago, and it was a neat little item. If you are interested in selling, PM me.
Thanks
