Brauhaus Schmitz on South street

Has anyone been to this place? A friend of mine that I don't get to see very often is having a get together there for his birthday. Just wondering if anyone has any feedback about the place. Money's a bit tight right know (shocking isn't it?), and I'm considering if it's worth a trip to, or not. Thanks in advance for any input. And yes, I will be carrying if I end up going.

i went for my birthday a few weeks ago. it was so good! my friends picked up the check so i didnt get to see the total. but i think it was about 20 bucks from an entree. i cant wait to go back

Went there last week due to this thread. Great place! Clean, good food, good service, beers are reasonably priced and in generous servings. Loved the food. Can't handle too much potatoes and sausages, but they were good. Sausages come with side dishes, many are on the appetizers menu, so take that into considerations when ordering appetizers.

Well, I wound up having to skip it this time, but the reports from those that did make it were quite good. Apparently everyones meal was in the $20 range though, so it was pretty pricey. Thanks for the imput though. I'll hit the place up another time I'm sure.
