S&W 669 sights
Can someone please tell me a reasonable price for replacing the front & rear sights on the S&W model 669 (with a newer type sight)?
I understand that the front post would have to be milled off, but I checked a couple of places that wanted $250-$275 for the work.
I flat out don't want to put that much money into a semi of that age.
Any info would be appreciated...

$168.75, not including shipping:

That's about the best answer that there is, really, other than selling your S&W and buying something that comes already equipped.

Ok, so this isn't the reply you asked for but in the interest of offering another possibility...
I've been looking for a reasonably priced 6906. I noticed on gunbroker that 669s in good shape go for similar prices as similar 6906s. You might consider selling and upgrading at minimal cost. Then you'd have a gun that's newer with easily replaceable sights.
