Default Picked up my CC permit today!

It only took about 20 minutes and I walked out with a photo permit! I'm pumped. My 92FS is a bit large but once I get a P3AT or something else on the small side I'll be carrying in no time!

congratulations on taking responsibility for your own safety!

it's always great to hear of someone getting their LTCF for the first time.

the more permit holders there are in the state, the less likely the politicians will want to mess with carry laws (as LTCF holders are voters, too).

Congrats! Its a shame that we even need a permit but there you have it.

BTW, let me know if you get a P3AT. They are great but not out of the box. There is a guy in TX who will do a Fluff & Buff to make sure it goes bang when you need it. Check out the picture of mine at:

Once "fixed" they are great little pea shooters. Very small & light - you will forget its in your pocket.

Id consider the 92FS a winter gun Easier to conceal it wearing more clothing....I carry one of my Glocks (17 or 32) in the winter and my P32 in the summer.

What is a good small 9mm semi?

I had my form from before ( I got there after 4:00 ) so when I walked in there was another younger Guy filling his out ,,, we exchanged glances as if we were joining a secret fraternity the clerk didn't seem very cordial , but who cares 10 days give or take I too will have wy first CCW . and I agree the more people who carry the better

I was told having your LTC / CCW permit is just as, if not more powerful than exercising your voting rights.

Also do consider joining the NRA if your not already a member.

I have a gut feeling the NRA is going to have to be front and center during the next election with both barrels blazzing.

Congrats on the new permit! We all applaud your decision!

I have both the 92FS and a P3AT. The P3AT is not much of a range shooter, but I depend on it for Personal Defense, and as a BUG. I love the 92FS on the Range. 11 mags and counting....

Don't forget to buy a good gun belt! In many ways more important than the holster.
    Good luck!

Thanks for the congratulations, guys. Even if it is a year late I carry my XD9 Sub-Compact year round right now and I love it.

    mjd932,
    HEHEHE!
I saw the post dates as I returned to this thread...
    Thought the system was FUBAR...
    Better late than never!
Did not suggest it in my initial response, but I have the XD45c now for CCW, and love it! I applaud your choice...
Did you get a good gun belt?
Have you found a decent IWB holster?
